Aileen Burger Queen, age 78 of Dalton, departed this life on Saturday morning, January 12, 2019 at Hamilton Medical Center. Born in Tellico Plains, Tennessee to the late Luke and Myrtle Haun Burger, she had spent a majority of her life in Dalton and was a member of Cherokee Valley Baptist Church. She was the owner and operator of Your Special Occasion Catering and enjoyed cooking, traveling, crossword puzzles and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Queen.
She is survived by her children, Aelana Queen of Dalton, Kelli Queen of Dalton and Will (Stephanie) Queen of Rocky Face; grandchildren, Kyle, Kaci, Liam, and Xander Queen; brothers, J.A. Burger of Greenville, Tennessee, Denny (Pat) Burger and Ronnie Burger both of Tellico Plains; and a special friend, Shirley Brown of Chatsworth. Several nieces, nephews, and other extended family also survive.
A Celebration of Life and Home going for Aileen Queen will be held at 1p.m. Monday, January 14, 2019 from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home with Brother Franky Ridley officiating . Graveside services will follow at 3p.m. at United Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 11-1p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
