Alan Brian Prisby

Alan B. Prisby, age 60, of Decatur, TN., formally from Ipswich, MA. took his life at his home on February 6, 2020.

Alan was born in Ipswich, MA., on September 27, 1959 and was the son of the late Ignatius and Lucille (Marcorelle) Prisby.

He graduated from St. John’s Preparatory High School in 1977. He attended St. Anselm College, earning a Bachelor’s in Business and Economics. He was a Master Electrician, earning his Master’s  from Peterson’s School of Engineering.

He joined the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Union as a Master Journeyman Electrician where he worked until his retirement.

Alan enjoyed outdoor activities: especially pheasant and deer hunting and bird watching . He enjoyed riding his motorcycle on the backroads of TN with Sheila. He took great pride in his dog training skills, training them to be master hunters. He also enjoyed mountain biking in his younger years. He loved spending time in MA visiting his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with his fiancé and family while living in TN for the past 10 years. He can mostly be remembered in Ipswich and Decatur , driving his dogs around in his Jeep for their daily ride and run.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Peter Carll of MA.

He is survived by his daughter, Carly Hippert (Mike) from NH.;  son, Shane Prisby (Hannah) from NC., fiancé, Sheila Foriska from Decatur, TN. ; Six grandchildren: Elijah, Zachary, Joshua, Wyeth, Xavier, Adelaide; Siblings: Marie Harrington (Sam), David Prisby (Judy),  Carol Carll, and Joan Prisby (Larry Hansbury)all from MA. A brother at heart, Scott Prisby. His extended TN family: Kristen, Dustin, Kailey, Kaden, Jordan, Kendall and Brad. Also, many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial of Alan's life will be held at his TN home on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 2:00 PM. All family and friends are welcomed.
