Aldean Davis Brackett, age 83, went to her heavenly home on Monday, May 20, 2019.
She is a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County; a member of East Niota Baptist Church and retired from Athens Products. Her passions were cooking, reading and spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death for her parents, Virgil & Ruth Davis; husband Curtis Brackett; sons Tony Brackett and Don Brackett; great grandson Kaegan Roberts; son-in-law Lamar Ellison; two brothers, Stan Davis and Jerry Davis.
Aldean is survived by one daughter, Carol Ellison of Etowah; one daughter-in-law, Melita Brackett of Niota; nine grandchildren, Travis Brackett, Laura Wright, Amber Shelton, Dustin Shelton, Heather Brackett, Jennifer Brackett, Brandi Wheaton, Paige Lange, and Megan Baker; and nineteen great-grandchildren. Several extended family and friends also survive.
A Celebration of Life and Home going will be held at 7p.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2019 from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home with Brother Roger Baker officiating.
A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 23, 2019 at Foster Cemetery with Travis Brackett, David Freeman, Bill Cannon, David Cranfield, Justin Lange, Dustin Shelton, and Ralph Borders serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6-7p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the funeral hour.
