Fay West

Fay West, age 79 of Athens, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at Etowah Healthcare.  She was born in Loudon County and lived the majority of her life in Athens.  She is of the Baptist faith and retired from Life Care of Athens.

Fay enjoyed people, loved working puzzles and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Edward West and a brother, Leroy McMurtry.

Fay is survived by one son, Wesley (Susie) West of Riceville; five grandchildren, Sean West, Justin West, Johnathan West, Paige West and Cole West; and a sister-n-law, Nancy McMurtry of Athens.

A Celebration of Live Service will be held on Sunday, July 19,2020 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Serenity Funeral Home in Etowah.  Interment will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Athens.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Sunday,  prior to the service.
