Anthony Wayne Parsons, 64, of Etowah passed away September 14, 2020 at his residence. Wayne was born to the late Claude and Lorene Daniels Parsons, July 7, 1956. He was of the Church of Christ Faith, a 1974 graduate of McMinn Central High School and a Veteran of the United States Army where he was stationed in Rome, Italy. Wayne was retired from Athens Utilities since 2013, he lived most of his life in McMinn County and was an avid Tennessee Vols. fan. Along with his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by the love of his life, Faye Adams, his grandparents, James (Fannie) Parsons and Alden (Mary) Daniels; sisters, Mary (Tinker) Buckner, Ann (Susy) Stewart; brother, Claude "Buddy" Parsons; niece, Jody Stewart Long; nephew, Billy Ray Crumley. Survivors include his sons, Tobias (Amber) Parsons of Athens, Chase Parsons of Arizona; companion, Sharon Derrick of Athens; sister, Linda Carney of Etowah; sister-in-law, Faye Parsons; borther-in-law, Roger Stewart; grandson, William Barrett Parsons; nieces, Kathy Johnson, Bobbie Brown, Kelley Key; nephews, Tony Duggan, Donald (Tater) Crumley, Dale Parsons, Jeremy Parsons; one special great-nephew Josh Brown; two furry companions Meathead and Zoey; along with several other nieces nephews cousins and friends.
