Archie Dorr Church, Sr.

Archie D. Church, Sr., age 79, went to his heavenly home and was reunited with his loved ones that had been waiting on him Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He enjoyed spending time with his family and writing and singing his own songs on his guitar. He loved God and his church family. Archie always made sure his family knew how important and loved they were by him. Archie was preceded in death by his mother, Lillian Helmuth; father, Samuel Church; many loving brothers, sisters and stepson, Billy. He is survived by his wife, Carrie Church; sister, Lillian; children, Lillian Harvey, Winthia (Bodi) Mikalunas, Archie (Rebecca) Church, Jr., Carmen Rose and Jimmy Dungee; grandchildren, Katelynn, Dylan Rose, David Rose, Brandon Brown, Katie (Matt) Mowers, Dominick Church, Ashley Church, Bradley Church and many other great grandchildren, many special great great grandchildren and special friends, Edna and Clinton Newell. The family will receive friends, Thursday, March 3, 2022 in the Chapel of Serenity Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Pastor Gerald Lynn officiating. A military graveside service will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
