Arthur "Tommy" Hayes

Tommy Hayes, age 79, of Etowah, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2023 with his loving family around him. He retired, after 40 years of service with Etowah Utilities, as their Waste Treatment Operator. He was a member of Starr Mountain Church of Christ. Tommy was a hard-working farmer and was loyal to his friends, but especially loved his children. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, L.C. Hayes and Reba Parrott Hayes; brothers, J.L. Hayes, Jimmy Hayes and Johnny Pellizzarri; sister, Linda Nolin.

Tommy is survived by his wife of 60 years, Judy Hayes; sons, Mitch (Rasinda) Hayes, Todd (Laura) Hayes; grandchildren, Luke (Amanda) Hayes, Jacey Hayes, Kalee Hayes; great grandchildren, Kyrie, Katelyn, Kenlee, Cohen, Brantley and Ally Hayes; brother, Hillard (Betty) Hayes; sister, Anita Perry; several nieces, nephews and special nieces, Amy Hembree and Caitlyn Givens. 

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 16, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m at Starr Mountain Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org/
