Barbara Joyce Tipton

Barbara Tipton, 87, a life long resident of Etowah, TN, passed to her eternal home on March 26,2025. Barbara and her husband Frank Tipton owned Tipton Used Cars and she was a member of Etowah First Baptist Church. Barbara was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be sorely missed by her family and friends.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents Arther Butler and Edith Hampton Butler, her husband Frank Tipton, her infant daughter Tessa June, daughter-in-law Jill Akins and son-in-law Wayne Shaw.

She is survived by children Deborah Shaw, Danny Akins, Bonnie (Ross) Torbett, Jody (Patsy) Akins, Tina (Tony) Hackler, Cindy Tipton, Tammy (Gabe) Farmer, Yancey (Kim) Tipton and Cassie (Shane) Todd; stepsons, Freddy (Sharon) Tipton and Danny Tipton. Special grandsons Kolton Tipton and Gavin Farmer along with 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

There will be a Graveside Service at Greenhill Cemetery on Monday March 31, 2025 at 4PM. Due to the weather the family has changed the time of the Graveside service from 2PM to 4PM today Monday March 31, 2025. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
