Gail Cherry Land

Gail Cherry Land, age 69 of Etowah, passed away at her residence surrounded by her loved ones on Monday, November 11, 2019. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Alfred Cherry of Chatsworth, GA; her mother, “Lillie” Pauline Cherry of Etowah; a brother, James Larry Cherry of Etowah; and a daughter Lesia Gail Walker of Etowah.

Gail is survived by her husband of 42 years, Tony Joe Land, Sr., their son Tony Joe Land, Jr. and wife April; two beloved grandsons, Noah Ross Land and Ethan Alexander Land; three brothers, Bill Cherry and wife Sue, Michael Cherry with wife Marry, John Cherry and wife Crystal; one stepsister Debbie Wilson, and stepmother Pauline Cherry.  She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life and Home Going Service will be conducted on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the funeral home.  Interment will follow at the Etowah City Cemetery.

The visitation will be held from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, prior to the service.
