Bill Arville Dotson

 Bill Arville Dotson, age 77, of Benton, departed this life on Thursday, January 24, 2019, at his residence. Born on January 9, 1942 to the late Paul Dotson and Dimple Dorsey, he had lived in Michigan for 35 years before retiring back to Tennessee in 1997. He had retired after 30 years of service from Ford Motor Company and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing, playing golf, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-children, Vic Miller and Robin Miller.

Survivors include his loving wife of 30 years, Brenda Rayburn Dotson of Benton; children, Tim(Anita)Dotson of Clinton Township, Michigan, Melody(Robert)Jones of Melbourne, Florida, and Connie (Michael)Andres of Florida; step-children, Deborah(Robert) Swigert of Benton and Scott Miller of Louisville, Kentucky; siblings, Michael (Brenda) Dotson , Randy Dotson, and Carolyn Bell all of Waverly, TN; thirteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life and Home going for Bill Arville Dotson will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, January 27, 2019 from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home with Pastor Jamie Johnson officiating.

The family and friends will gather at 12 noon on Monday, January 28, 2019 at Green Hill Cemetery for a committal service.

The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday prior to the service.
