Bill Standridge, age 71 of Cleveland departed this life May 21, 2020. He was born in West Tennessee and spent a majority of his life in McMinn County. He was a member of Double Springs Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon.
Bill served his country in Vietnam as a member of the U.S. Marines Corp. He was retired from Olin Chemicals, and loved all the UT Sports, and loved spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Thelma Standridge; brother- in-law Robert and wife Nita Leslie; sister in law Faye Leslie; mother and father - in- law, Charles and Elma Leslie; and brother-in-law, Jack Leslie.
Bill is survived by his wife of 51 years, Joan Leslie Standridge; five children and spouses, Christopher (Laura) Standridge of Vancouver, Washington, Blake (Amy) Standridge of Cleveland, Tabitha Standridge of Athens, Cody (Amanda) Standridge, and Anna Standridge of Chattanooga; twelve grandchildren, Avery, Jordan, Lily, Camden, Landon, Kinsley, Ian, Isaac, Matthew, Kaeli, Eli, and Owen. There are several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
A Celebration of Life and Home Going will be Sunday, May 24, 2020, at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Funeral Home with Brother Bill Stockham and Brother Randy Harmon officiating.
The Interment will be conducted on Monday, May 25, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the Double Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
