Brian Lee Deem

 Brian Lee Deem, age 46, of Riceville, passed away on Monday, December 31, 2018, at Starr Regional Medical Center in Athens. Born on November 27, 1972 in West Virginia to the late Clifford and Laverna Deem, he had lived in Arizona for twenty years before moving back to McMinn County in February 2018 and was a member of Walker Valley Community Church. He was the Children’s Director at Redeemer Apostolic Church in Arizona and loved spending time with his family and church family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Anna Libbey Deem; children, Jonathan, Zachary, Kailey, Gracelynn, and Matthew; brother, Eugene Deem of West Virginia; father and mother-in-law, Obie and Lynne Libbey of Athens; seven brothers-in-law; four sisters-in-law, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3p.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2018 from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Eastanallee Baptist Church Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service.

The family will receive friends from 1-3p.m. on Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.
