Cassie Brooke Wright

Cassie Wright, age 18 of Athens, departed this life on Friday, September 20, 2019 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.  Born in Cleveland, she lived most of her life in McMinn County and was of the Christian faith. Cassie was a happy go lucky person that tried to fix the world. She was always the life of the party, free spirited, beautiful inside and outside; the best friend anyone could have, wore a big smile and was so loved. Cassie loved singing, dancing, swimming in the lake, the ocean and spending time outdoors.

 She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Joyce Wright; uncle, Daniel Plemons; and cousin, Jacob Leatherman.

 She is survived by her mother, Sherry Plemons(Casey) Corbitt of Athens; father, Shannon(Kimberly) Wright of Athens; brother, Cameron Wesley Wright of Athens; half-brother, Hayden Martin; half-sister, Sinead Jack; step sisters Kimberlee and Katelynn Corbitt; maternal grandparents, Mike and Susan Plemons of Athens, and Jeannie and Eddie Laudermilk of Niota; paternal grandfather, Clarence Wright of Clahoun maternal great-grandmother, Marie Swilley of Athens; Aunts and Uncles, Mikey(Samantha)Plemons of Etowah, Robin (Tim) Power of Calhoun, Julie(Eric) Bates of Benton; Regina Baxter cousins, Paisley, Josh, Casen Plemons, Kayla , Chris, Kristyna, Emily, Jacob, and Katie. Several extended family and friends also survive.

 A Celebration of Life and Home going for Cassie Brooke Wright will be held at 1p.m. Friday, September 27, 2019, from the Chapel of Serenity Funeral Home with Brother Jimmy Elliot officiating. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5-8p.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at the funeral home.
