Charles Culp, a former resident of Rockwood, TN for many years passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at the age of 87. Charles was born in Clifton, TN in Wayne County on July 4th, 1934. Charles at a young age developed a love of animals and worked hard to save up and buy a horse of his own, whom he named Pearl, he loved her dearly and said the horse would do anything for him. He had a love of western movies and books and Johnny Cash songs. He was able to raise his family and many animals, including lots of cows, which he also loved caring for during his life and he enjoyed spending time caring for his animals and family all very much . He helped out on his family’s farm at an early age by working in the cotton fields, outworking others twice his age. His work ethic and desire to take care of his family led him to a job as a Mechanic at Sexton’s Automotive in Harriman, where he made many friends throughout the years and then retired after 35 years to his small farm in Rockwood, TN. He then opened a small automotive shop of his own. As one of Jehovah’s Witness he shared his faith with anyone he came across until the very end. He was loved by anyone who met him.

Charles is survived by his wife of 68 years, Patricia; 3 daughters, Connie, Cheryl and Caren; grandchildren, Chasity, Shawn, Natasha, Celena, Ashley, Sierra, Lesley, Rachel, Candace and Chantessa; 20 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
