Christopher Dane Morgan

Christopher “Chris” Dane Morgan, age 39, of Madisonville, TN, passed away Saturday, July 1, 2023 in Sweetwater, TN due to a car accident. Chris was raised by his mother Nancy Morgan. He was a loving father to Zyler Morgan and Zayden Laymance, as well as, a bonus dad to MaKayla and Lucas Rockholt. Although never married, he shared his life with Colleen Johnson.

Chris was a 2002 graduate of Sweetwater High School and remained friends with many of his high school friends. Chris was a troubled soul and fought his demons every day, but he took time every day to call his mom and always ended those calls with “I love you”. 

He had many friends and was always there if you needed help with anything. He had a great smile and the people who knew him would describe him as a “good guy”. Chris was a good man, not perfect but a really good man who will be sadly missed by his family and his many friends. 

The family is having a celebration of life and will receive friends Saturday, July 8, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. with a service at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel at Serenity Funeral Home in Etowah, with Doug Morgan officiating.
