Clifton Pack, age 90, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023, at a local healthcare facility. He had lived the past 30 years in Chatsworth, Georgia, before moving to Calhoun, Tennessee.
He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War in the Battle of Pork Chop Hill.
He loved music, especially blue grass, and enjoyed writing music. He also liked managing the sound equipment at the blue grass festivals.
He was also known for his love of animals.
He was born on January 10, 1933, in Polk County to the late Pauline Passmoore Pack Lewis and Fred Pack. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Austin Pack, Bobby Pack, Jean Pack, and Geraldine “Jerry” Pack Burgess.
He is survived by his stepchildren, Bridgette Hammons and husband Joe of Riceville, and Winston Merrell and wife Carol of Cleveland; step niece, Lynn Poteet Kyker and husband Gerry Kyker of Delano, TN; along with multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
His final resting place will be in the Archville Cemetery in Reliance, Tennessee.
