Connie Lynn Cash

Connie Lynn Cash, age 70, a resident of Loudon, (formerly of Sweetwater) passed away April 19, 2023 after a severe stroke. She was born in Trenton, Georgia to Fred and Elizabeth Hardin Rains on May 29,1952. Connie was an employee of Sweetwater Hospital for over 20 years. Connie was a kind, generous soul who loved helping others. She led the Monroe County Jail Ministry for many years leading people to Christ. She adored her family and will be dearly missed. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Ronnie Cash; parents, Fred and Elizabeth Rains; brothers, Herbert Rains, Gene Bynum; sister, Ann Rains.

She is survived by her son, Bobby Cash (Becki); grandson, Hayden Cash; 2 great-grandkids, Jaxson and Emory Cash; brother, Thomas Rains; nephews, Chris Bynum, David Smith; nieces, Treva Smith, Tina Keith, Sabra Long.

Services will be held Monday, April 24,2023 in the Chapel at Serenity Funeral Home in Etowah, with visitation 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, followed by funeral service at 7:00 pm, officiated by Gene Farmer. Burial Tuesday, in Ider, Alabama at 1:00 pm in the family cemetery.
