At Parkwest Medical Center.

A native of Rome, NY. and longtime resident of McMinn County, he was the son of the late Eugene Frances Hilts and was preceded in death by his wife, Teresa Pruett Hilts.  He was an electrician by trade and most recently employed with Lowes.  He was a member of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church in Riceville.

Survivors include his mother,

   Janet Deraway of Ventura, CA.

Three daughters and one son-in-law,

   Tonya and Alex Cain of Riceville

   Tina Hilts of Riceville

   Tiona Hilts of Riceville

One son,

   Daniel Hilts II of Athens

Step children,

   Christin and Justin Henderson of Athens

   Rachel Barry of Harriman

Grandchildren: Dashawn, David, Jayden, Tyra, Alisha, Isacc, Asia and Deven

Three sisters, Denise Hilts, Gladys Hilts, and Debbie Hilts

Two brothers, Jason Evans and Joe Hilts

His fiancé, Sandra Beach of Athens

Several nieces and nephews

A Memorial Service to Celebrate the life of Daniel Hilts will be held at 4p.m. on Sunday, September 15, 2019 from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home .

The family will receive friends from 3-4p.m. on Sunday, at the funeral home prior to the service.
