Don Richard Evans

Don R. Evans Sr., of Madisonville, TN, a beloved husband, father, papaw, friend and U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran, left this earth for his heavenly home at the age of 76, on May 12th. He will always be remembered for his great love of the flea market and “wheeling and dealing”.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Gertrude Evans; two infant brothers; and sisters, Mildred Erdmann, Bessie Ferguson, Sharon Barry, and Harriet Brimm.

Don is survived by his wife of 40 years, Wilma Hamilton Evans; brother, Buddy (Teresa) Evans; brothers-in-law, Jim Barry, Al Erdmann; children, Don Evans Jr., Richard (Jennifer) Swanson, Steve (Cheryl) Evans, Kathy (Dan) Hopson, Fred (Lucy) Swanson, Michelle (James) Clabough, and Brian (Ginger) Evans; 16 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; special friends Danny Adams and Mayford Mashburn; and his precious fur babies Li’l Bit and Tiny.

A “Celebration of Life & Memorial Service” will be held at the family residence on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 5:00 p.m.
