Douglas Leonard Sutton

Doug Sutton, age 53, of Sweetwater, departed this life on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at the University Of Tennessee Medical Center. Born on September 6, 1965 to the late Cecil and Juanita Evans Sutton, he was a native and lifelong resident of Monroe County. Doug was an avid UT fan and enjoyed watching WWE Wrestling and spending time outdoors and with the family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Denny Sutton.
Survivors include his sister, Nola Jean Freeman; brother, Steve Sutton; nephews, Jason (Amy) Freeman and James (Kandy) Freeman; great-nephew, Gabriel Freeman all of Sweetwater; and several other extended family and friends.
A Graveside service to celebrate the life of Douglas Leonard Sutton will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, May 27, 2019 at Norwood Hill House of Prayer Cemetery with Brother Jason Crowder officiating.
The family will receive friends form 1-1:45p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
