Duane Baker, age 57 of Delano, departed this life on Sunday, June 7, 2020 at his residence. Born on January 4, 1963 in upstate New York to the late Donald Baker and Rose Antonelli, he had lived a majority of his life in Florida before moving to Polk County in 2006. He was a member of Wetmore Baptist Church, was owner of K&D Enterprises and was an avid Miami Dolphin fan, enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Duane was preceded in death by his brother, Randy Baker
Survivors include his wife, Karen Mach-Baker; daughter, Melissa(Derrick)Swafford of Cleveland; grandsons, Blake and Talon Swafford; brothers, Timothy Baker of Delano and Butch Equalina of New York; nephews, Jesse and Jeremy Baker; niece Tiffany Baker; childhood friend, John Buonpastroe; as well as extended family and a host of close friends.
A Celebration of Life and Home going for Duane Kevin Baker will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 20, 2020 from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6-7p.m. prior to the funeral hour on Saturday
Interment will be private.
