Kay Brown, age 77, of Madisonville, passed away Friday, October 15, 2021 at her home. She enjoyed being outside - feeding and watching birds was her favorite hobby. She liked playing Bingo and volunteered at the Cora Veal Senior Center in Madisonville. When the love of her life was alive (J.C.) they went to car shows and traveled together as members of Sweetwater Valley Cruisers and The Ole’ Smoky Camping Club. The also had a ceramic business. She was a volunteer for the American Foundryman Society, and the Pancreatic Cancer Awareness. More than anything, she loved her family.
Kay was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Jack C. “J.C.” Brown; son, Jack C. Brown, Jr.; parents, Punch and Vonie Rhodes; brothers, Bruce, Norman and David Rhodes.
She is survived by daughters, Gail (John) Manns Baker of Loudon and Cindy Barnett of Etowah; brothers, Dale (Virginia) Rhodes and Randall Rhodes of Texas; sisters, Gay Weber of Texas, Annie Marvin of Ohio, Jeanne Altizer of Virginia and Gail Dockery of Madisonville, TN; grandchildren, Cory Brown, Heather Tracy, Jacob Brown, Amanda Baker, Kiefer Brown, and Alexander Barnett; 8 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
A private family service will be held.
