Eunice Elaine Covey, age 85 of Sweetwater, Tennessee, formerly of Marshall, Michigan, departed this life on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at the University Of Tennessee Medical Center. Born in Michigan on August 6, 1933 to the late Alvin and Vearl (Craven) Lindsay, she was a devoted wife, loved crossword puzzles, spending time with her family and was of the Christian faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, David Covey, daughter, Ruby Holt, grandson Tommy Beene, son-in-law, Larry Cole, and siblings, Howard Lindsay, James Lindsay, Esther Lambert, Arthur Lindsay, Lyle Lindsay and Duane Lindsay.
Survivors include her loving husband of 45 years, Wayne Covey, children, Sarah Cole of Battle Creek, Michigan, Verna (Chris) Meneguzzo of Marshall, Michigan, Dexter (Karron) McDaniel of Sweetwater, Carol Covey of Marshall, Michigan, Roger Covey of Battle Creek Michigan and Tim (Haley) Covey of Brooksville, Florida, son-in-law, Jerry Holt; twenty-four grandchildren, twenty plus great-grandchildren, and three plus great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by siblings, Edwin (Leah) Lindsay of Riverside, California, Dale (Jewell) Lindsay of Bellevue, Michigan and Neva Censke of Battle Creek, a host of nieces and nephews and extended family.
A memorial service will be held in Battle Creek on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Faith Baptist Church, 13840 S Helmer Rd. at 11:30 a.m.
