Eunice "Lucy" Ann Morgan

March 18, 1954 — January 6, 2023

Eunice Ann Hyatt Morgan, age 68, originally from North Carolina, gained her angel wings and her crown of jewels as she transitioned peacefully into the arms of Jesus Friday, January 6, 2023.

“Lucy,” as she was affectionately known, was born March 18, 1954. Beloved wife of Wesley “Whitey” Earl Morgan who preceded her in death July 29, 2010. Lucy and Whitey were married Dec. 1970.

Lucy was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her four children and 15 grandchildren embracing laughter and love with them. She especially loved her role as Mamaw. She had a vivacious personality and was always willing to help the less fortunate. She was a fierce Mamaw bear.

She loved to cook and smoke. She loved yard sales and collecting Christmas things.

Lucy is survived by her four children which include son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Christy Morgan of Tellico Plains; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Greg Carver of Madisonville; son and daughter-in-Law, Wesley “Bo” Morgan and Lori of Niota; and daughter, Leann Morgan of Madisonville; Lucy’s surviving 14 grandchildren, Nathan Morgan, Ashley Morgan, Christopher Sullivan, Kelly Sullivan, Rebecca Morgan Brown, Isaiah Morgan, Abigail Morgan Harris, Tylo Sullivan, Jim Carver, Lilly Morgan, Lexi Morgan, Wesley Morgan, Monica, and Joshua Forester; grandson Wyatt Wesley Morgan preceded Mamaw Lucy September 1998.

All whom loved her dearly and will never forget her tenacity, wit, charm, grace (when pertinent) and undying love and caring for them.

Mamaw will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. Mamaw Lucy was enjoying living with her nephew Joe Hemmings of Niota who she loved dearly.

A celebration of Mamaw Lucy’s life will be held at a date that is to be determined.

A graveside service will be held on January 28, 2023, at Sunset Cemetery tentatively 10:00 A.M.
