Fate William Martin

Fate Martin, age 83, of Englewood, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord on August 15, 2019.

He was a loving husband to Georgia Martin for 64 years.  He was a doting father to two wonderful daughters, a proud grandfather to four grandchildren, as well as having being blessed by seven great-grandchildren. 

Fate loved the Lord and walked and talked with Him daily.  He loved to witness and talk to everyone that he met.  He had a caring, compassionate, trustworthy, warmhearted soul,that was always willing to lend a hand or an ear to listen.

Fate was preceded in death his parents, Lillie and John Martin; brothers, Fred and Ray Martin; sisters, Laura Womac and Jewell Clark.

He is survived by his wife, Georgia Martin; daughters Robbie and Danny Long and Johnnie and Charles Nunley; grandchildren, Angela (Brad) Page, Adam (Heather) Nunley, Jonathan (Niki) Long, Dustin (Dani) Long; great grandchildren, Anecia, Kinsleigh, Jaxon, Makenna, Mason, Kalyn and Dawson; Sisters, Ola Mae Clark and Bessie Brooks and special nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life and Home going for Fate William Martin will be conducted on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Serenity funeral home with the Rev. Wayne Lee officiating.   

Graveside service will be held on Sunday 2 p.m. in the Sunrise Cemetery with Jonathan Long, Dustin Long, Adam Nunley, Terry Martin, Danny Long and Brad Page serving as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers are, Charles Nunley, Jaxon Long and Dawson Nunley 

Family will receive friends on Saturday from 5-7 p.m. prior to the service.
