Flo Creasman Golden, age 81 of Etowah, passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville. Born on May 2, 1937 to the late Bascom and Willie Bivens Creasman, she was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County and a lifetime member of Goodsprings Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. Flo was employed at Bowater in the E & D Department and loved spending time with her family, church family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Frances Creasman; brothers, Raymond and Sam Creasman; mother and father-in-law, Bill and Lura Lee Golden; brother-in-law, Hugh Trotter; sisters-in-law, Anna Natter and Janice Creasman. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 60 years, George “G.W.” Golden of Etowah; children, Cindy (Rick) Clark of Etowah and Greg (Jill) Golden of Knoxville; grandchildren, Ryan Wilson, Wayne (Natalie) Golden, Grant Golden, and Melissa (Anthony) Couey ; great- grandchildren, Hayden and Elizabeth Wilson, Isaac Golden, and Reid Golden; sisters, Jean (Jack) McDaniel, Vivian Trotter, and Faye(Buddy) Parsons; and sisters-in-law, Mae (Jack) Burns and Bobbie Golden. Several nieces, nephews, and other extended family also survive. A Celebration of Life and Home going for Flo Golden will be held at 7p.m. Friday, December 7, 2018 from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home with Brother David Lonas officiating. Family and friends will gather at 12 noon on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Goodsprings Baptist Church Cemetery for the committal service. The family will receive friends from 5-7p.m. Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
