Gwendolyn "Tina" E. Bain

Gwendolyn Ernestine (Tina) Bain, age 82 of Etowah, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 29, 2024 at Etowah Health Care Center surrounded by family.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Lovingly known as Mamaw Bain, she loved working outside, especially in her garden, going to church and being with family and friends. She was a life-long member of Mt. View Baptist Church in Polk County, TN. 

Preceded in death by her loving husband whom she was married to for over 50 years, Charles Bain; parents, Clifford and Stella Orr; brother, Daniel Orr, Jr.

She is survived by her sons, Danny (Donna) Bain, Brad (Karen) Bain; daughter, Dottie (Terry) Prock- Jackson. Grandchildren, Ashley (Steven) Briggs; Bryan (Brittany) Bain; Creed Bain; Abby Bain; and Marcus (Alex) Prock; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the loving staff at Etowah Health Care Center and Dr. Samuel Olson.

The family will receive friends Monday, December 2nd, 2024 from 4-6 PM in the Chapel of Poole Funeral Home, Etowah Chapel with a Funeral to follow with Pastors Benny Watson and Pete Morgan officiating.

The family will meet at Morgan Cemetery on Tuesday, December 3rd, 2024 at 12:45 PM for a graveside service at 1 PM.
