Imogene “Ima” Brown, age 87, of Athens passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by those who loved her. She was a caring, kind, considerate and compassionate person, she was generous and loved the Lord. Anyone that ever met Imogene, would tell you, she could put a smile on your face.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Brown; brother and sister-in-law, Leslie and Noreen Cole; brothers, Willie Cole, Steve Cole, Wayne Cole; sisters, Cynthia Skipper and JoAnn Johnson; nephews, Chuck Skipper and Roy Anderson; niece, Angie Young.
She is survived by her sister, Pauline Barncard of Etowah; brother-in-law, Denny Skipper; nieces, Nancy Dalton, Kelly Skipper Beavers and LeAnn Cole and nephew Dirk Weber, great-nieces, great-nephews and many dear friends.
Family will welcome friends Thursday, April 21, 2022 in the Chapel at Serenity Funeral Home in Etowah from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held Friday, April 22, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. in Green Hill Cemetery with Pastor Jack Bryan officiating.
