James Allen Bowman

James Allen Bowman     Birthday: 9/11/1947 

James Allen Bowman passed away at his home in Benton, TN on April 12, 2025 after a long battle with cancer. James was born in Chester, PA the Son of William (Deceased) and Marjorie Jean Bowman of Rices Landing, PA. 

He is survived by his loving wife Jeannine, Sons Jason (Angie) and Jeremy (Stacey) Bowman, Grandchildren, Kristen, Macie and Matthew. Sister Jean Grimm of Rices Landing, PA Preceded in Death by brother Michael Steven Bowman.

 James was a Vietnam Veteran, serving proudly in the United States Army. He was a Mechanical Engineer working his last years before retirement at Jackson Furniture Company in Cleveland, TN after a long career in the automotive and furniture industries. He designed and built several custom homes, the last one in Delano TN. 

His many interests included fishing, reading, and carpentry. He was an animal and nature lover and loved hiking our beautiful Tennessee trails. He was a life-long learner, forever interested in researching and discovering the world around him. He was a devoted husband, father and friend.

 A Celebration of life will be held at the Poole Funeral Home, 300 N. Tennessee Avenue, Etowah TN 37331 on April 22. 2025 visitation will begin at 12:00 with the funeral service at 2:00 p.m.
