Janice Hatfield Akins

Janice Hatfield Akins, age 77 passed away suddenly Friday August 2, 2019 at Wood Village in Sweetwater. She was born in Jellico, Tn and was the last surviving member of her family. She never met a stranger and loved meeting new people. She retired several years ago from Goodwill Industries where she was a retail manager. She was of the Baptist Faith and a member at Sheltons Grove Baptist Church in Sweetwater.

Janice was preceded in death by (Parents) Hefferman and Clemie Hatfield, (Sisters) Geraldine, Margie, Patricia, Mary, and Charlene (Brothers) Jack, Harry, Carson and (Daughter) Deborah Lynn, (Mother in law) Edna Akins and (Son In Law) Greg Brewster.

Survived by her Husband Homer who was the love of her life, (Daughter) Renea Brewster ,(Son) Jimmy Dulling and wife Amy, ( Step Daughters) Michelle Ciferri and husband Walt, Tonya Campbell  (Grandchildren) Nathan and wife Crystal, Christy and husband Dusty, Zachary, Nicholas, Travis, Dalton, and Isabella (Great Grandson) Braxton, ( Brothers and Sister in Laws) Stanley and wife Debbie, Charlie and wife Sherri, Barbara and husband Charles, Nancy and husband Leonard and Mary also several nieces and nephews.

  A Celebration of Life and Home going for Janice  Hatfield Akins will be held at 3p.m. from the chapel of Serenity Fuenral Home with Brother Lynn Goodwin officiating. Interment will follow in th Union Fork Baptist Church Cemetery in Loudon. 

The family will recieve friends from 2-3p.m. on Monday, prior to the service.
