Jeffery Lynn Hinkle

Jeffery Lynn Hinkle , age 70 of Athens Tennessee was “Ready to be with Jesus” and passed away Friday morning at Star Regional Medical Center after a long battle with several health issues. He was preceded in death by his parents Lyman and Mary Hinkle.

Jeff was very proud of his former military service and loved his country and those that served as well. He was an avid story teller with a sometimes “Unbelievable” life history that he was always ready to tell you a story about. He was a kind hearted person that enjoyed showing it to the people he loved through cards, letters and flowers.

He was comical and entertaining to say the very least and he will be missed by those that knew him.

Jeff leaves behind several friends but there were two special friends that stood beside him until the end. His caregiver Joe Cranfield and Pastor Van Elkins.

Graveside Services were held Sunday March 29^th with Pastor Van Elkins officiating. Interment was held at Sullins Cemetery in Athens Tennessee. Arrangements by: Serenity Funeral Home of Etowah
