Juanita F Swafford

Juanita F. Swafford, age 85, of Etowah, TN and formerly of Battle Creek, MI, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2023. She was of the Southern Baptist Faith and attended nursing school at Kellogg Community College and worked for Hospice. She loved to cook and adored her family and friends. 

Juanita was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Paul E. Swafford; parents, James and Willa Mae Harris; several brothers and sisters. 

She is survived by her children, Richard (Loretta) Swafford of Athens, TN, Paul G. (Lorraine) Swafford of Battle Creek, MI, Ronald (Debra) Swafford of Athens, TN, Michael (Fiancé’ Laura) Swafford of Cleveland, TN, Mark (Tammy) Swafford of Riceville, TN and Tracey Modi of Etowah, TN; 19 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; special friend, Barb Butcher of MI. 

Family will welcome friends for visitation on Thursday, November 9, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. with service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will immediately follow at Smyrna Cemetery in Evensville, TN with Mark Swafford officiating.
