Karen "Dianne" Malone

Karen “Dianne” Malone, age 61, of Athens passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at a Chattanooga facility following a lengthy illness.  She was a life - long resident of Athens, a Christian, and a loving wife, mother & grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Wilma Hale Waldrop.

Dianne is survived by her husband of 43 years, Danny Malone; one son Derrick (wife, Jessica) Malone of Decatur; and “The Light of Her Life”, one granddaughter, Macey Malone. 

The family will received friends Saturday, July 27, 2019 from 5-7 p.m. in the chapel of Serenity of Etowah Funeral Home.

A Graveside service will be conducted Sunday, July 28, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in Jones Chapel Cemetery, with the Rev. Kenneth Waldrop officiating. 

Pall bearers will be Tommy Crowe, Taylor Cook, Tanner Cook, Trever Pell and Tyler Adams.
