Katherine Rose Christensen

Katherine Rose Christensen was born January 3, 1922 in Fort Springs, WV.  She was the third of 4 surviving children born to Lowell and Pearl Rose.  She took secretarial courses in Charleston, WV and eventually moved to Miami, Florida. There she worked for Dade County government.

Katherine met and married Dayton Christensen on March 15, 1961, and remained in Miami until she retired.  She then moved to Etowah, Tennessee where Dayton was working at that time and there they remained until Dayton’s death earlier this year and then hers on September 23, 2019.

Katherine will be remembered for her orchid growing and other horticultural skills, her beautiful manners and gracious spirit.  She was a kind and generous aunt to her nieces and nephews and was well loved and regarded.  We will miss her.
