Keith Robert Ewing

June 17, 1952 — March 1, 2019

Keith Robert Ewing, servant of Jesus Christ, husband, father, grandfather, brother, philanthropist and patriot, passed away on the morning of March First 2019 after a protracted battle with cancer. He now rests in peace in the loving embrace of our Lord and Savior.

Keith’s 66 years carried him across the United States and throughout much of the world. A native of southern California, Keith’s youth was shaped by his love of the ocean. He attended Vista High school in Vista California, where he met Suzanne, the love of his life. Keith spent his youth as an accomplished competitive swimmer, surfer and free diver, and was active as a Boy Scout.

After completing High school, Keith was again called to the ocean and enlisted in the United States Navy. He earned the submarine warfare insignia and proudly served as a submariner on the USS Flying Fish, honorably fighting on the front lines of the cold war.

Shortly after completing his service in the Navy, Keith married Suzi and the two lived together traveling throughout the country. They settled in Swansboro, North Carolina and raised their three children, Angela, Jacob and Alicia. Ever the explorers, Keith and Suzi lived together in California, North Carolina and Indiana before finally settling in Tennessee. They enjoyed 42 years of marriage.

After serving in the US Navy, Keith embarked on a successful and impactful career in the power production and industrial construction industries. As a quality control specialist, Keith worked projects throughout the world, building his reputation as a technical expert and valued leader, and shaping the lives and careers of his colleagues and coworkers. Keith ultimately achieved the position of corporate quality director for Summit industrial construction in Atlanta, Georgia.

Keith lived his final years in his adopted home of Etowah, Tennessee. He loved the smell of the mountain air, the sound of the rushing Hiawassee, and vibrant green that surrounded his home. He looked forward to spending his Sunday’s in prayer and fellowship at Englewood Church of God.

Keith will be forever remembered by his beautiful bride, Suzanne; their three children Angela, Jacob and Alicia; and five grandchildren, Genesis, Julian, Ryan, Chase and Erin.  Polly Taylor(Aunt) and all extended family and friends in Mass, TN, NC
