Kenneth H Gay, age 90, of Englewood departed this life on Wednesday, March 11, 2020at Parkwest Medical Center In Knoxville. Born on March 29, 1929to the late Floyd and Annis Johnson Gay, He had lived all his life in McMinn County. Kenneth worked at Alcoa Aluminum for 43 years; a faithful member of Englewood First Church of God, and loved serving the Lord, playing golf and spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers and sisters-n-law, Cecil (Thelma) Gay, J.L. (Ruth) Gay, Clyde Gay, and Paul Gay; sisters and brothers-n-law, Lina (Jack) Watson, Ruby Torbett, Nanabell (Curtis) Manery; one infant brother, Georgie Gay; sisters-n-law, Ann Gay, Ruth Miller, and Joyce Mason; one grandson-in-law, Daniel Plemons.
Survivors include his beautiful wife of 67 years, Clara Faye Gay; two sons, Lynn (Teresa) Gay of Delano, Brian (Kim) Gay of Englewood; grandchildren, Kimberly Schuman, Lindsey Plemons, Tyler Gay, and Dr. Trent (Victoria) Gay; great grandson, Casen Plemons; brother, Roy Gay; brother-n-law, Reed Torbett; sisters-n-law, Josie Gay, and Marie Gay.
A Celebration of Life and Home going for Kenneth Gay will be held at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2020 at the Englewood First Church of God with Brother Joe Clark, Brother Will Hughes and Brother Rick Patterson officiating.
A graveside service will be held at 2p.m. on Sunday March 15, 2020 at McMinn Memory Gardens with Tyler Gay, Trent Gay, Randy Daugherty, Gene Key, Scott Miller, and Rod Miller serving as pall bearers.
The family will receive friends from 5-7p.m. on Saturday prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you consider memorial contributions to the Englewood First Church of God.
