Kenneth Leroy Lewis

Kenneth L. Lewis, age 51 of Athens, passed away at home on Thursday, September 5, 2019.  He was born in Dunedin, Florida and had lived in McMinn County since 1978.  He had worked at Shaw Industries for several years prior to not being able to continue due to his illness.

Prior to his illness, he loved fishing, working on cars, and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy Lewis and Patricia Thomas Lewis. 

Kenneth is survived by his wife of 31 years, Cynthia Wilcox Lewis; two daughters, Heather Lewis and Kristin (Clay) Leamon; three grandchildren, Bradley Huff, Jadelyn Huff, and Zachary Hall; one sister, Sonia (Larkin) Evans of Cleveland; one brother, Wendell Lewis of Athens; one nephew David Wilcox.  There are extended family and friends who also survive.

In lieu of flowers the family will receive monetary donations to help with the final expenses.

There will be no formal services at this time, however a date and time will be announced for a Memorial Service to be conducted later.
