Linda Lou Greer

Linda Lou Welch Greer, age 56 of Athens, TN passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 due to injuries from a motor vehicle accident.  She was a native of Cleveland, Ohio, and had lived in McMinn County since 1994.  She attended Concord UMC, and had an outgoing personality.  She loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, Samuel Welch, Jr, one son James William Greer, and her daughter Kristi Nicole Corbin Hooper; one brother, David Neugin.

Linda is survived by her husband, Frankie Greer of Athens; one son, Gregory Corbin of Athens; her grandchildren, Addy Berkenbile, Franklin Hooper, and Samantha Cook; her mother, Shirley Welch of Athens; two sisters, Elaine Palmer of Athens, Joyce Hodge of Ohio, Samuel Welch of Decatur; nieces and nephews, Amanda Eckert of Niota, Ashley Hodge, Amber Hodge and Autumn Hodge all of Ohio, Dwight Bates of Georgia and Chrystal Nicholson of Ohio.

There will be a Gathering of Friends on Tuesday, August 20, 2019, in the Chapel of the Funeral Home from 5-7 pm.
