Mary Elizabeth Sparkman

Mary Elizabeth Riechert Sparkman, age 86, went to be with her Lord Sunday, January 22, 2023. Mary was a member of the Allen United Methodist Church and was found most times sharing her sweet voice in the church choir. She was an office manager for several dental offices through the years. She liked to garden and loved to paint, as she was a very talented artist.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Helen Riechert; husband, Samuel Sparkman; and children, John Keith and Jeannine Schjolin.

She is survived by her children, Deborah Tumuty, Scott Keith, Christopher Keith, Sherry Pilarczyk, Thomas Keith; step-daughter, Pamela West; special sister, Avis Christie; special friends, Marcus Miller, Martha Fugate and their son, Marcus Blake Miller; several nieces, nephews, many friends and her beloved dog, Sammie.

A memorial service will be held in the chapel, 6:30 p.m., Monday, January 30, 2023 at Serenity Funeral Home in Etowah with Rev. Bill Griffith officiating.
