Opal Louise Bryant Harper

Opal Louise Bryant Harper, age 83 of Athens, TN, passed away, Friday, March 11, 2022 at Starr Regional Medical Center with her family by her side. She was born in Alabama, but was a lifelong resident of Athens. She worked at Davidson Textron for many years, until her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Zettie Bryant; son, Mike Harper.

Opal is survived by her children, Donna Teague, Danny Harper, June (Gordon) Swallows, Michelle Williams and Denise (John) Myers; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Opal was full of life and energy. She loved going to the Senior Citizen Center for dancing, going to thrift shops and antiques. She was a big animal lover of all kinds. She will be missed so very much by her family and friends.

At her request, there will be no funeral or graveside services. A memorial will be held for her at a later date.
