Reegene Taylor

Reegene Taylor, age 79, of Reliance, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2022 at her home. She loved to fish and camp. She was a loving grandmother of 10 and great grandmother of 18. Reegene was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Turtletown and was one of the best cook’s you would ever meet. She also enjoyed cooking Sunday dinner for her family.

Reegene was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Mattie Dunn; husband of over 40 years, Goldman Taylor.

She is survived by her sons, Cleaston (Joan) Taylor of Etowah, William Taylor of Reliance, Larry (Lisa) Taylor of Etowah; daughters, Christine (Jason) Lewis of Athens, Peggy (Melvin) Freeman of Etowah; 5 brothers; 5 sisters; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Family will welcome friends Monday, March 14, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Serenity of Etowah Funeral Home in the chapel. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. with graveside immediately following at Archville Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverends Wilfred Wright and Bobby Rymer will officiate. Pallbearers include: Ricky Lee Haulk, Adam Taylor, Dibble McNabb, Morgan Taylor, Tom Taylor, Joseph Taylor and Jr. Allen.
