Rex Alan Coward, age 56, passed away Monday, October 11, 2021. He was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church and played drums in the church band. Rex was a very talented musician, he loved playing the guitar and was in several bands over the years. He was a wonderful husband and father and loved his family more than anything.
Rex was preceded in death by his parents, Sammy and Carolyn Coward; brother, Michael Wayne Coward; grandparents Chet and Mildred; several musician friends.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Glenda Coward; children, Connie Skinner, Carol Zurek, Jerry Hendryx, Noah Wayne Coward and RhyLeigh Sue Coward; grandchildren, Johnathan (Melinda) Blankenship, Jordan (Erin) Blankenship and their children, Velli and Emmi, Joe (Elizabeth) Hill, their children, Luna Elizabeth Hill and Gavin Woolsey, and Eddie (Jade) Hill, their children, Sonny, Myles, Eli and Asher Hill; great granddaughter, Gabriela Blankenship; siblings, Sam Coward and Carolyn Weeks; godchildren, Zack Blazio and Danielle Rose; aunt Loraine; sister-in-law, Sue Vasquez; cousin, Teresa, and many friends.
Family will meet with friends at Zion Hill Baptist Church on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Justin Brown officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
