Ronald Louis Dickerson

Born April 18,1945 in Durham, North Carolina, Ronald “Moondawg” Louis Dickerson, Sr. was an outgoing and energetic guy, that never stayed still. He loved fishing and going camping with family and friends. He loved playing frisbee golf, and sitting around an outside fire with good people and good conversation, watching his grandkids run around. He liked sitting around the kitchen table playing cards with anyone that wanted to play. He was a carpenter most of his life and loved every minute of it, bringing nothing but smiles and laughter to a hard day's work. He loved watching football and the sy-fi channel, loved hunting, and collecting antiques.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Onnie May Dickerson.

Surviving family members: daughters, Cathy and Ladina; sons, Teddy and Tony; daughters, Shannon, Tracey and Jennifer; and his last child, Ronald Dickerson, Jr.; step-daughter, Leeann Walker; children, Gary and Diana Riley; grandchildren, Jasmine, Aiden, Chloe, Tyler, Connor, Alana, Zachary, Isabella, Dylan and Mason, Haley, Steven and Lula; and his beloved dog, Max.

We will be having a celebration for Ronald Dickerson, Sr. Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Sweetwater Park by New Bethany Church. We will be letting balloons go with messages and prayers attached to them for him at 1:00. We will be having lunch and cake to celebrate his birthday. Please feel free to come and join us.
