Ronnie Lawrence Shelton

Ronnie Lawrence Shelton, age 68, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2019.  He was born in Polk County and spent the majority of his life in East Tennessee and a member of Cambria Baptist Church.

Ronnie served 32 years in Prison Ministry most notably the Miracle Lake Prison Ministry.  He had a passion in life to share the Lord to everyone and he loved spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James & Edith Shelton; and one sister, Billie Earls.

Ronnie is survived by his wife, Debbie Shelton; two sons, Ronnie Shelton (Stacey) of Galveston, TX and Kevin Shelton (Melissa) of Soddy Daisy; one daughter, Christa Gilliam of Athens; six grandchildren, Dustin Shelton, Courtney Patterson, Peyton Shelton, Ben Goldman, Skylar Goldman and Amanda Gilliam; two brothers, Robert Shelton (Linda) of Benton, Charles Shelton (Patricia) Cleveland; and with several nieces, nephews and other extended family.

A Celebration of Life and Home Going will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Serenity of Etowah Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Brother Jack Bryan officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 2 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

Interment will be Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Delano Cemetery.
