Sheila Lane Cross

 Sheila Lane Cross, age 63, of Benton,  departed this life on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at her home with her family by her side. Born on February 9, 1956 inTellico Plains to the late Bill and Cora Lane; she had lived a majority of her life in Polk County and attended Fellowship Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time outdoors when she could and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Angie Shelton; and brother, George Lane.

Survivors include her loving husband of 48 years, Gene “Fuzzy” Cross; children Chad Cross and Ricky Butler; grandchildren, Chasity”Honey” Cross, Freya Cross, Francesca Metzger, Allen Butler, and Zach Butler; sister, Denice Stinson; and several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A Celebration of Life and Home going for Sheila Faye Lane Cross will be held at 3p.m. Sunday, January 5, 2020 from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home with Brother Joe Hatcher officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2-3p.m. on Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home.
