Shirley Lee Evans Manders, age 74, of Englewood, passed away in Saturday, December 29, 2018 at her residence. Born on February 23, 1944 in Dawson County, Georgia to the late Arthur and Daisy Campbell Evans, she had lived in McMinn County since 1990 and was of the Christian faith. As a nurse she had a passion for helping others and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Stephen Manders; and several siblings.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 60 years, Lester Manders; son Philip Manders and wife Tammy; grandsons, Brandon Lee Manders and wife Alexandria and Cody Nathaniel Manders and wife Amanda; great-grandchildren, Bailey Lee, Hunter Nathaniel, Willow Elizabeth-Jean, Wyatt Cicero,and Jocelyn Renee All of Englewood; siblings, Rowena Wehunt of Dahlonega, Georgia, Donald Evans of Gainesville, Georgia, and Mandeline Evans Wehunt of Calfax, Louisiana. Several nieces, nephews, and other extended family also survive.
A Graveside service will be at 1p.m. Monday, December 31, 2018 at Conasauga Cemetery with a white dove release concluding the service.
There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home.
