Steven Clay Anderson, age 67, passed away on Tuesday November 5, 2019 after a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis. He passed away peacefully at home with his wife Tabitha at his side. Steven was born in Long Beach, California and graduated from high school in Huntington Beach, California. He attended the fire academy & he was a firefighter for many years primarily in Riverside & San Bernardino counties in southern California and the California Department of Forestry, He extended his career to include construction plans checking to fire codes, arson investigator, and fire marshal. He was involved in writing fire code regulations for municipal departments as well. After retiring from the fire service, he and his wife moved to Loudon in Eastern Tennessee in November 2005. In his younger years, his interests included surfing, playing tennis & cross country skiing. His favorite pastime of all was riding his Harley Davidson. He has always enjoyed the company of his many dogs over the years, especially the rescue dogs.
He was preceded in death by his father Raymond Anderson & mother Thelma Nadine Anderson. He is survived by his wife of 17 years Tabitha.
At Steven's request, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, friends and family are invited to make donations to their local animal shelter, volunteer fire station, or donate a memorial tree to the Arbor Day Foundation for planting in a national park.
