Tara Celeste Johnson, age 41 of Etowah, passed away April 25, 2021 at Tennova Health Care in Cleveland. She was funny, sarcastic, with a tremendous sense of humor. She enjoyed the outdoors and pontoon boating was her most favorite activity. She loved writing poetry and going to amusement parks, particularly Lake Winnie & Dollywood. She liked helping people feel good about themselves; that was her reason for becoming a hairdresser.
Tara was preceded in death by her husband Darrin Johnson; father, Richard Perkinson.
She is survived by her mother and step-dad, Kathy and Herman Holt of Delano; daughters, Savannah Jewell Johnson of Delano and Trinity Johnson of Delano and Autumn Johnson of Cleveland; granddaughter, Maicy Claire Goins of Cleveland; 2 step-brothers, Adam and Aaron Holt of Etowah; sister, Amanda Andrews of Nashville; grandmother, Patricia Kirkland of Delano; aunt, Kimbra Waldrop of Delano; cousin, Bridget Duke of Delano; niece, Miley Andrews of Delano; nephew, Trey Andrews of Delano; mother and father-in-law, Bill and Carolyn Johnson, and many cousins and friends.
Family will be receiving friends at Serenity Funeral Home, Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. with Reverend Joe Brooks officiating.
A private family internment will be held at a later date.
