Virgil Lee Moses, Sr., age 64, from Englewood passed away on Friday, January 3, 2020 at his residence. He was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County and was of the Baptist Faith. Virgil loved working on cars and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earsel and Robbie Moses; two sisters Denise Moses and Connie Moses; one brother, Don Moses.
Survivors include one son, Lee Moses (Kristyn) of Simpsonville, SC; one grandson, Alexander Moses; three sisters, Caroline Moses of Louisville, Brenda Griggs of Englewood, Patricia McAllister (Dewayne) of Etowah; four brothers, Tim Moses (Sharon) of Etowah, Billy Ray Knox (Lisa) of Athens, Chris Martin of Etowah, and Tony Moses of Old Fort. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at 3 p.m. from the chapel of the Serenity Funeral Home of Etowah and Cremation Services with the Reverend Tim Moses officiating.
Interment will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. prior to the service.
