Wendy "Nana" Riden

Wendy “Nana” Riden age 76 of Etowah, departed this life on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at her home. Born in California on November 11, 1942 to the late Leroy and Myrtle Holt, she has lived in McMinn County for a majority of her life and a member of New Zion Baptist Church.  Nana worked in Healthcare for many years as a CNA and a caregiver, and loved playing Bingo, telling jokes and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband< James Riden; daughter, Jamie Riden; and Several siblings.

Survivors include her children, Brenda(Randy Bowman0 Connors of Englewood, Jean Riden of Etowah, Denise(David)  Bearden of the Claxton community, Jim (Geneva) Riden of Etowah, David Zarth of Kansas; sister, Leila Aguirre of Katy, Texas; fifteen grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and special dog Daisy.

A Celebration of Life and Home going for Wendy “Nana” Holt Riden will be held at 7p.m from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home with Chaplain Michael  Jackson  officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-7P.M. on Thursday prior to the service.
